Halloween

This Halloween was a long one. We had parties for 4 days in a row and by the time Halloween night rolled around I just wanted to get a babysitter and go to dinner :) but we pressed on and made it a fun night for all.

Callie was Mary Poppins this year.  She watched the movie 100 times this Summer and knew the words to the songs and how Mary holds her little bird and everything.  So, it seemed like a good idea.  Her whole costume cost roughly $20.  I decided to check DI before buying anything new and I was glad I did.  I found the little white shirt, the black skirt, the hat (I spray painted it black) the red belt (I just cut it down to fit callie and tore off the fabric that was hot glued to the other side) and the purse (I sprayed it black also and hot glued the fabric to it).  I found the fabric at Walmart and the little red tie I just cut out of a piece of thick felt I had at the house and glued it to a piece of black elastic.

We have some really sweet neighbors that are a little bit older and don't have kids at home.  They brought all 3 kids a sweet Halloween surprise.  They each got a pumpkin and candy and a couple toys inside.  It made their day.
Painting pumpkins.  It's my favorite with little kids.  Maybe next year we'll carve them again but this is so much easier with littles.
if you look closely at Callie you can see that she would paint a little on the pumpkin and then a little on herself.  She was using it as lipstick
The umbrealla was the hardest part for sure.  There was a tutorial online that made it doable.  I bought a $5 little umbrella from Walmart and did paper mache on the the top to make the head and then painted it with some paint I had already.

It was hard to get a picture that showed all the parts of her costume well.  The umbrella head, the purse, the hat and her cute face.

This one I love because even though you can't see it in the other pictures, Callie had this blue gun in her purse all the time.  No one knew that Mary was packin heat.

I don't even remember which party this was before but it was the only one of all 3 costumes I got.

The dat of of the boys school parade and parties, I dressed Callie up as a BSU cheerleader so that she could be part of the group costume.

Cade in October

Cade has a couple friends in our neighborhood that are a bit older than him.  Funny enough, they love hanging out at our house with Cade.  This day, they were all playing football together.  The other kids are 12. :)

playing 500 while Cade kicks the ball to them.

Our little soccer stud.  This kid gives it his all every game.  He loves soccer but mostly just loves scoring more goals than Cody every week.

my little goober face. He will do anything for a laugh.

riding the "escavator" at H&M.  Cade is wearing Cody's shorts and looks like a gangster.

The boys earned a reward from watching general conference and Cade picked the shirt.  It is now his favorite shirt and he wanted to take this picture to send it to Chris so he could see what he picked out.

Cody in October

While Carli was in town for a couple days, we took the kids to Tokyo for lunch one day.   They kids obviously loved it.

I have to document this picture because it was so cute.  Wayner had called my mom and she let Cody answer the phone.  Wayner thought it was Callie and Cody automatically changed his voice and was pretending to be her and talk like she does.  We all we laughing so hard which is why Suvee wouldn't stay in the picture.

Uncle Mikey showing Cody and Cade the coin collection that he and Steve have been collecting for a lot of years.

Cade riding the "escavator" at H&M like Superman and Cody helping Callie.  He's so good to her.

Cody draws pictures at church during sacrament.  This one made me giggle.

Cody played on an AAU team for a few months this Summer.  We all agreed it was "an adventure"

Aunt Liss came down for dinner and helped us hunt for golf balls.  Fortunately we didn't see any big spiders that day :)

Callie in October

Callie playing outside in the sprinkler puddle with a bunch of buddies.

after visiting Daddy one morning, we made a quick trip to Krispie Kreme to watch the donut conveyor belt for a minute and munch on a yummy fresh hot donut.

Any time we go to the outlet mall the kids want to go into H&M and play on the "escavator" for as long as I'll let them.

Callie's friend Londyn gave her a whole bunch of old princess toys and a little people castle.  She has been in HEAVEN!

Callie and Taya again.

We met Aunt Lissa for dinner one night.

Just passing time while we wait for Mommy's doctor

We took Londyn to the store with us.  They of course had to have the little car cart.

My activity day girls made some cute Halloween signs and Callie painted herself the whole time.

Chris made Callie a lego robot with the legos Londyn gave Callie.  She was too scared to go next to it for the first day and then was really protective of it for the next couple days.
