Cader's buddies

My friend asked us to meet them at the park by our house one day last week so Cade could play with a couple buddies from our old subdivision.   Of course we were happy to go.
I only got a couple pictures but I thought I'd share what I have.

Running through the sprinkler

We got home from Idaho Sunday night just in time for dinner with Daddy.
Monday we caught up on playing with friends and then Tuesday morning Chris and I flew out for Las Vegas for a couple days.  Chris had a conference to attend and I have a pool side to attend :)
My mom stayed with the kids while we were gone.  We got back Thursday afternoon and she headed back to Idaho that same day.  Short but so nice.

That Saturday the weather was AMAZING!  The boys played outside the whole day after Cody's soccer game.

We hooked up a sprinkler and even turned on the yard sprinklers at one point to keep them entertained.

Then, Cade found a "gun" and started shooting all the kids

We tried to get Cade to ride his 4wheeler through the sprinklers but he wouldn't do it

They lay on the cement to get warm :)

DIY photoshoot

Cody has been doing his own hair every morning for the last couple months, Chris taught him how to do his own little mohawk and he thinks its pretty cool.  Now, he likes to make sure Cade's hair is done before he goes to school every morning.  This particular morning he forgot to do the front of Cade's hair too, so he looked a little like a goofball.
Showing me his key that he has been holding onto for over 2 weeks.

Then it was time for some pictures in their matching outfits and matching hair dos.

and... hugging it out.

The drive home:

The drive home was uneventful for the most part.  Cody had mentioned a few days before that he wanted to walk from Idaho to California... I told him it was too far, so he said he wanted to walk from Idaho to Utah.  I told him that we could do that.  He panicked and said it was an April Fools joke.

I mentioned it a few times as we made the trip from my parents house to the Utah border and he was not happy about it.

So, when we approached the border I pulled over and said, "okay, lets go.  You are walking from Idaho to Utah."  He cried.  :)  I explained how he was going to do it, but he was still hesitant.

Cade was sad to see him go too.

still not loving the idea

After he walked to the sign I told him, "See, you can tell all your friends that you walked from Idaho to Utah and back to Idaho."  And he looked at me with a terrified face and said, "MOM!! I don't want to walk all the way back to Idaho."  He didn't get it.  :)   In his mind, Idaho is grandparents homes, and Utah is our home. Not fields int he middle of no where.

Sleepover with Cousins

On Friday night we had planned a sleep over with my cousin Megan and her 2 boys.  Cody had been looking forward to it all week.  We went over at about 7:30 pm and the fun began.  The boys played with their ninjagos for a little bit and then we set them up on the hide-a-bed to watch a movie.  I kind of hoped Cade would watch a movie with them and just fall asleep but he didn't so we ended up setting up the pack and play for him in the boys room.  After much bouncing around, laughing, treats, and collapsed hide-a-bed, more treats, more laughing and more bouncing they finally fell asleep at about midnight.

Megan and I woke up to them talking in the front room at about 6:45!! the next morning.  How that happened I have no idea.

The collapsed hide-a-bed after.  Both Cody and Ryan sat up at the same time and it just about sucked them both in.

finally asleep.

Breakfast.  Luke was mad at me and refused to look at the camera.

It wouldn't be a sleepover without a little karate :)

This is how Cade spends most of his days.
After breakfast and playing, we went to Ryan's baseball pictures and then snuck in a quick lunch before we had to go separate ways.

We ran home to get Cade a fast nap before we had to hurry to a bday party for my friends Mom.

After the bday party in Middleton, we raced out to Meridian to see Steve and Lori again before we had to go back to Utah and to see Chris's grandma.
