Merry Christmas!

First of all, Thanks to my genious brother-in-law Scott for helping me figure out my videocamera. Now I can start posting some videos! This is just a beginners video post :) I will practice. The video below is basically an idea of how Christmas Day went for us.... seriously

We woke up at... well Cody had a rough night so I cant quite remember what time we actually woke up but we started opening our presents at 7:30. Cody was not interested in anything we got him just a Little Tikes tool bench my boss gave him. He is obsessed with it. Chris got Cody an H3 remote control car (it is for ages 8+) and Cody is scared to death of it. It is currently hiding in the closet under the stairs.

Then we headed to Chris's family's house to open gifts and have breakfast. We got there at 9 and let Cody wake people up. Grandma and Papa Henneman got cody a little power drill that actually drills (well sort of) and we still cannot get him to put it down. Sonja picked it up once and I couldn't believe the way Cody reacted. He is usually great at sharing but he just broke down!

After breakfast at the Hennemans we went to my house where we exchanged more gifts and then left Cody with my mom and the rest of us went to Bogus for night skiing. We have done that for the last few years on Christmas Day. We only lasted about 3.5 hours on the mountain. It was absolutely FREEZING!!! but it was a blast.

Over all we had an amazing Christmas. We are having such a blast watching Cody grow and learn new things everyday!

The Eve of Christmas Eve

We spent the evening at my in-laws in Meridian. We had a really nice dinner since the whole family is in town. Micah and Marissa are leaving tomorrow so we exchanged gifts with them early. Cody has finally figured out how to open gifts and knows that there is something inside, however he doesn't seem to realize that the tissue paper and gift box are not the actual gift. :)

Lori made a delicious prime rib dinner, I was grazing the whole time and had little room left for dinner. I hate it when I do that. Scott and Ellen are here from New York until Thursday, this Christmas is different than last year becaue last year we just sat Cody and Sonja next to eachother and took pictures... this year they can play together. Sonja is 14 months and walks and talks and is such a smiley little girl. Cody just follows her around and gives her toys to play with. She has to be careful on the stairs so we had Cody hold her hand to help her up.

Cody is a stylish little boy, thanks to his mom and dad and all his aunts uncles and grandparents but he knows how to do his own hair.

And last it is a Henneman tradition that Uncle Mikey always hands out gifts on Christmas morning.... well move over Uncle Mikey there is a new gift boy in town.

Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant

We had dinner at the Mona Lisa Fondue Restaurant last night with my whole family... and a few missionaries. Every dinner with my family is always special and this night was no exception. I love my sisters, but we make an interesting group! The second picture is my favorite though. Mona Lisa is not exactly kid friendly so I used Cody's belt to strap him down!

Lets give this blogging thing a try

Ok, I have decided to start a blog for our family. It seems to be the easiest way to keep everyone posted on what is going on in our lives. So stay tuned for some of our fun adventures!
