shower talk

I took Cody out of the shower, brushed his teeth and lotioned him up about 20 minutes ago. Before I had a chance to put any clothes on him, he had grabbed my hairspray bottle and tried doing his own hair.... I gasped as soon as I heard it, assuming the worst (that he had sprayed it right in his eye or something). He looked at me with the most mischevious grin and said,

"I was just joking!"

I love how he applies things he hears into his own language!

Okay, can I first say that I am so tired of coming up with titles for my blog posts and I feel this huge pressure to have a good one since it shows up on other peoples blogs... and how do you people come up with such clever titles? ugh.

Cheap Stuff

I follow this blog created by some friends, Krazy Coupon Lady. I don't claim to be a couponer, even Chris laughed the first time he saw me "clipping coupons." but as I watched these women getting TONS of stuff for either free or REALLY cheap, I thought I would give it a shot.

I have been getting the Sunday paper for about 6 weeks now, so I have some coupons stored up... and Kmart is doubling manufacturer coupons up to $2 per coupon this week.

Today I went to Targer with ALL printable coupons and got
4 6 packs motts applesauce (all different flavors) 2 of them were $.62 each and 2 were $.07 each!!!
4 bags of goldfish (the honey graham ones) for $.66 each
7 snack size bags of cheetos for $1.25 total!! (thats how much one normally costs!)


at Kmart I got
2 covergirl eye shadows for $1 each
2 boxes of ziploc bags (50 count) $1 each
and a few feminine items for FREE!

And I haven't even been to Albertsons yet... they had 4 double coupon coupons in Sundays paper. I have my eye on some cleaning supplies.

Thanks Krazy Coupon Ladies for all your help! This stuff is SO addicting.

A sign of the times...

They say the economy is bad... I think the world is coming to an end.

How do I know this?

My husband asked me to give him a haircut yesterday.

After I was done he said it was the best haircut he's ever had.

now I just need to figure out how to get him to shave.

Play-doh Party

we did it.

Like I mentioned in our last post, we went to the library and the park last Friday when it was really nice outside.

another bit of a conversation Cody and I were having this morning.

I asked him if he wanted to go to the the Library and read some books today.

his response?

"No, I don't think so. I want to go on the swings."

I couldn't help but laugh, and yes we are still going to the Library. maybe we'll go play on the swings after.

Below is a picture of Cody last night. Chris and I have been really lazy and let Cody sleep in our bed. Its been about a year. and lets be honest, its getting old. I don't get any sleep while he is in there. The solution...

we moved his batman tent into our room. It will take a few days I am sure but I can't have him in our bed anymore.

Can I just say that I love my baby boy. He is SO entertaining!

Here we go with the bandaids.... well these two pictures the bandaid was unsuccessful.

he was trying to put his Daddy's cologne on and he got himself in the eye.

this one, he had peeled a piece of skin off his lip and it hurt to eat his pizza.

Helping Mommy in the kitchen.... usually results in applying another bandaid.

Apparently our house is cold... because when we turn the heat on Cody runs for the heater vents.

Part of a conversation Cody and I had in the car today;

Cody: We don't say shut-up. Mom, we don't say shut-up.

Me: No buddy, we don't say that. That's not very nice.

Cody: No, we don't say shut-up.

Me: Cody, please don't say that. That makes me sad.

Cody: Okay mom, I won't say that. We don't say that, we say.... umm, we say FINGERS!!!

Me: We say fingers??

Cody: Yes, we say fingers. Thats nice.

My best friend.

Today is Chris's 28th birthday! It was pretty low key, but we still managed to have a GREAT time. We went to the new Tucanos in Boise for lunch with Chris's parents and Grandma and my two sisters and one boyfriend. It was amazing! I haven't been there since I was pregnant with Cody.


I made Chris a carrot cake from scratch. My first ever! It turned out better than I could have hoped for. So yummy and I don't really even like carrot cake.

I had to work tonight so our evening was shot, but I wanted to just write a few things and share some of my favorite pictures of my favorite person.

When Chris and I got married, I was 19!!! I woke up one day and I was married :) 4 months later I was pregnant. 8 1/2 months later I was a MOM!!! holy cow my life changed a lot in 1 year. There is absolutely NO WAY I could have gotten through the last 3 years of my life with out Chris holding me up. He is such a supportive and loving husband and father. He has been so patient with me, while I learn to be a wife, mother, cook and housekeeper. (the last two are taking a long time to figure out). It melts my heart when I come home from work on the weekends to find my two boyfriends snuggled in bed. If I had had things my way, we would have waited a couple years to have kids so that we could have had a chance to get used to living with eachother before we threw a third person into the mix, but looking back on it I am so grateful we had Cody when we did. He has been such a blessing to us and our marriage. Chris is an amazing father. Cody thinks the world of his Daddy. I can't wait to add to our family and watch how we grow together.

I know he probably won't read this but I really don't tell him often enough how much I love him and need him. He really is my best friend. I love you babe.

I love these! It was kind of warm one day last week

so we headed down to the park.

Cody has been potty trained since he was 2 years and 2 months old...

but he still can't seem to put his underwear on right.

Chris told him to find the tag and put it in the back.

Instead, he finds the tag and then puts his underwear on... backwards EVERYTIME

This is the same 2 year old that puts his Daddy to bed when Mommy has to work and then watches a movie on Daddy's iphone until Mommy gets home. :)

I'm just not there yet.

I thought it was going to be nice today.

Guess I should have checked with weather.com first. I wore a green short sleeve shirt, jeans and green flip flops today.

It WAS nice for about 20 minutes. Then it quickly turned to THIS while we were out running errand!
