Swimming at the Lindon Pool

The Lindon Pool is definitely our favorite pool to go to because it has a great little kids area for Cade with 2 slides and a lazy river for Cody to play in and it is small enough that I can see both of them.

We went with Cade's friend Robby and I finally remembered to bring my camera to capture a few cute pictures.

Cody is laying down by our stuff wrapped in his towel to get warm.

Cade was tired of waiting for this girl to go so he gave her a little push.

Notice Cade's tongue in the next 5 pictures!!

Seven Peaks

We have been to Seven Peaks twice this Summer and I wish it was closer so we could go more often.  Cade had a blast in the kiddie area this year and Cody is big enough to go on the slides this year.  I wasn't able to get any pictures of Cody I just snapped a couple of Cade in the splash pool area. e

Cody's first Fun Run

I have done a couple 5k runs this summer and Cody started to get a little jealous that I got to run in races so he asked if he could do one too.  My friend Jill and I found a 1/2 mile fun run for the kids where they got a medal and a tshirt.  It was perfect.  They were so excited the whole week before.

 Loading up in the car.

Waiting for the race to start

at the starting line with Kamrie, Darian and Mekhi

I ran with him to motivate him.  I told him his goal was to run the whole thing so I had to keep him going.  I was actually more tired running the 1/ mile with him then I was running my 4 miles that morning because they all took off in a sprint and then he would get little bursts of energy and run faster for a little bit and then slow down.
 headed to the finish line
Darian, Cody and Mekhi after they finished.
He was pretty proud of himself and kept asking when he could do another one.  He wears that yellow shirt at least once a week still.

American Fork Carnival

While Chris was out of town this week I thought it would be a good time to take the boys to the American Fork Carnival.  We didn't go to the Cedar Hills one like we did last year and I bought the ride tickets in advance so it was pretty cheap.
We had planned to go last night but then yesterday afternoon as I saw clouds rolling in I thought we would go early so that we could miss the after work crowd and be there while it was shady.
The only ride we had to wait in line for was the carousel and really it was only like 10 minutes.
I didn't dare take my nice camera out so these first few are from my phone.

Cade started to get a little scared when it went in reverse but he never cried on a single ride.

After the carousel we went over to the dragon roller coaster.  Cade showed almost no emotion the entire time.  Towards the end he got scared but Cody was quick to comfort him.

I tried to take Cade back to that roller coaster later but he said, "No, I dont yike(like) it, I don't want to do it."

Cade loved any ride he got to drive.  So we stayed close to the cars while Cody did the roller coasters.

Cade even found a free ride that he played on for a while.

Cade's version of a thumbs up

The kids and I shared a corn dog, lemonade and some french fries for dinner while we were there too.  All in all I would say it was a success.
