More of May

We have had the best Spring weather which means we have been outside all the time.

Mother's Day
I was in Boise this year on Cody's birthday so it was up to his dad to make it a great day.  Fortunately, Chris pulled it off.  We had talked about getting him a little 4 wheeler or a dirt bike or something of that sort and then Chris found this mini rzr and we knew that was it.  It isn't Cody's but we got it on his birthday weekend and that was good enough for him :)  While I was gone Chris and Mike took the boys to Tepanyaki and to Boondocks and they had a great time.  I don't think Cody even realized I wasn't there.  Which is exactly what I was hoping for.

Cade in May

This kid is exhausting.  All day he wants to play soccer or baseball or golf.  He is constantly asking me to come "try to score on him" or "Throw me a couple pitches."  It's pretty comical.  He goes from one sport to the next all day long.

"My mom is pretty"

We went on a bike ride with six 5 year olds.  It wasn't my best idea ever.

another interesting sleeping position we found him in.

driving the mini rzr.  He is pretty good at it for a 5 year old.  He has a hard time staying focused and watching the road all the time which is why he always has to have another adult in it with him.

Cody in May

Even though is is 9, he still loves getting to take a bath with his little sister.  I think he wishes Cade didn't have to be involved though :)

Chris was out of town this year for Pinewood Derby so Cody and I had to figure out how to build a car.  I bought a kit to make it a little easier on myself.  Cody painted his car all by himself so when his car won "Most Creative Design" he was so proud.  I think he was less proud of the cake we won for being the slowest car.

helping Callie when she didn't want to go to sleep.  He is always so quick to try to comfort her when she is sad.  He knows that she loves when he rubs her face so he spent a good 5 minutes doing it this night.

He has been asking to grow his hair out on the top a little so he can part it and comb it to the side.  He takes a lot of pride in getting his hair done every day.  Even if he is wearing basketball shorts and a tshirt.

Sleeping with Carli in his bed.  She didn't last all night but he was thrilled she fell asleep in there

Cody's first Real Salt Lake soccer game.

he came home and immediately put the poster above his bed

At his school's muffins for moms program.  I laughed and cried through the whole thing.  They sang great songs and he kept it a surprise that he had a speaking part.  He said "I love my Mom because she gives me warm hugs"  like I am Olaf  :)  The funny part was that the girl next to him was acting like she was on Broadway and completely wedged Cody out of all the songs.  I had other moms text me during the program about how they felt bad for Cody.  It was pretty hilarious.

After the program we go back to the classroom and they show us some stuff they've made for us and we had muffins together

This kid gives soccer his all.  He loves being out there with his friends and improving his skills.

teaching the little ones how to do a head stand.

We have an early bedtime at our house and Cody is starting outgrow it a little.  He ends up reading for about an hour after they are in bed and Cade is asleep.  He has a huge stack of books always by him.

This is Cody's favorite picture because he is mid flip.
