I have a lot to catch up on... I know it has only been a few days but we are keeping busy and I don't want to forget any of it.
First, we finally got hydroseed sprayed on our yard. It was a very last minutes decision, Chris was working on getting rocks our of the yard and he told me Sunday to call Monday to see when someone could come spray... so Tuesday morning we had hydroseed. My parents came over Monday night and helped Chris get ready (I played volleyball), we are so excited for our grass.
Second, Cody is officially off the binky!!! Wooo hoooo. When I had Cody the nurses told me that they don't recommend giving binkies to babies during the 1st month... I didn't agree. It is called a pacifier for a reason, right? Well, he has been a binky baby since that 1st night that I demanded they give him a binky so "I could just get some dang sleep!" I decided on Wednesday that
I was tired of the binky. So, after minimal research on the best way to get rid of the binky I cut off the tip. This is going to make me sound like a TERRIBLE mother but I could not stop laughing. I cut it right in front of him so that he could see that is was not coming back. He kept saying "Ouwie Mommy, Ouwie!!! No!!!!!!" (I have no idea how to spell "ouwie"). After I was done cutting the binky he kept repeating, "Binky broke, oh no, broke Mom." He slept with Chris and I that night simply because I did not want to get up during the night when he wanted his binky. Instead, at 5:30 a.m. he rolled over to me and wanted donuts.... yes that is right, he specifically asked for donuts! Never a dull moment. We are on day 4 and it has been so much easier than I ever imagined, especially since he had gotten to the point where he had to have the binky 24/7. So if anyone needs a good way to rid a 2 year old of his/her binky, there you go. It worked for us. And p.s. he is actually sleeping a lot better/deeper without a binky.
Third, I found this priceless little piece at a friend of my moms house on Monday. They went through their storage to let their kids go through it and take what they wanted but the weather turned bad so they called and told my mom to come get what she wanted. This used to be a foot board of an antique bed, but when I saw it I thought it was a little bench. I am in the process of painting it black to match my other furnishings! I am so excited! I has been my project this week and I am having a blast.

Fourth, Mikey has been out on his mission for 1 month today! Wow, only 23 more.
Fifth, I was doing an Open House for a listing I have today and all of the sudden I heard an ICE CREAM TRUCK!!! I have not seen on of those for years! I went running outside and it was not your typical ice cream truck but Cody still seemed to enjoy it, almost as much as I did.

And finally, tonight was a tri-stake dance that we(our spanish branch) planned. A lot of time and stress went into planning it in the last couple weeks. I was at the church at 4 o'clock to meet the guy bringing the concessions for our carnival themed dance but he didn't show up until 6:45. So, while we waited Cody made some new friends... Brayden even let him ride his bike for a couple minutes. I guess now I know what Cody is getting for his birthday.
