Our Poof
Chris came home from work a couple weeks ago with a "present for Cade." Yeah right!! It is all for Chris. The boys have a good time on it during the day. Please notice my naked little Cader in the background. He tries so hard to keep up with the big kids but it usually just results in a goose egg on his forehead.
Playing at the Park
We have a great little park right in our subdivision that I like to take the boys to most days. It isn't great for long periods of time since it is so small but its perfect for quick 20 minute runs to the park to wear them out before bedtime. We took Cody's "girlfriend" Aliya with us this time and the two big kids had a blast pushing Cade on the swing.
Playing outside
One of Cade's obsessions is cars. Go figure, he is a Henneman after all. I was looking for one of those red and yellow plastic cars for outside but I would leave it inside for the winter so he had a steering wheel to play with but they were all at least $20 used so I went to DI and we found this gem. There is supposed to be another piece to the toy which is why it was only $3 but it works PERFECT for what I was looking for. It has a button that turns the lights on, a gas pedal and a brake pedal that make the actual sounds and a key that sounds like he started the car. He LOVES it! Oh and his favorite part... the horn. He holds it down for 5 seconds at a time.
I introduced Cody to golf this Summer and he seems to enjoy it. He has some whiffle balls that he and his friends use to hit around in our front yard and in all our neighbors front yards.

Halloween Cookies
We had a few of the neighbor kids that Cody runs around with during the day, and I mean literally runs around with. That's all they do. :) Camri, Riley, Afton, Aiden, Jackson, Darien, Mekhi, Ethan, Kate, Presley and Jack and then obviously Cody and Cade. It was definitely a full house but they kids had a good time and they did a great job decorating the cookies.

Cade is my little scaredy cat. He jumps at everything. When Chris raises his voice at the tv while watching football Cade cries. When Cody jumps off his bed and makes a loud noise, Cade cries. When we go through a car wash... well see for yourself.
Cody, on the other hand, isn't scared he is just more sensitive. About a year ago he was watching the movie How to Train your Dragon and he came upstairs crying because "they" took the little boys dragon away from him. Chris and I thought it was so sweet that he was so worried for the little boy. Then, a couple weeks ago he was watching a movie in my bed and he was so sad. I dont remember what movie or why but I caught this cute picture with my phone.

Hives take over!
We had lunch in Draper one day last week with Stacy and Carli to use one of her groupons at NYPD pizza and after lunch we went to Harmons right next door to get some Halloween sprinkles for cookies we were going to decorate that afternoon and I noticed Cody's face looked funny. I remember saying as we were checking out, "Cody, What is wrong with your face??"
When we got in the car I noticed it was getting worse. It progressed thoughout the ride home. I considered taking him straight to his pediatrician since it was on our way home but we went home instead and I gave him some allergy medicine and within 30 minutes it was fading. I gave him a bath too in case it was something he touched and it seemed to help distract him from the pain until the meds kicked in.

The teacher sent home a note that said the first 6 parents to volunteer would get to go on the field trip but since I didn't see it until the next day I figured she was full, and then the day before was parent/teacher conferences, I asked if she had enough Moms and she said she only had 4. I was pretty excited. As we left his classroom that day I told Cody that I was going on the field trip with him and he was so excited! It made me feel so good.
The next morning I dropped Cade off at my friends house and Cody and I headed to his school. His teacher divided the kids into groups with the Mom's and Cody came over and said, "Mom, make sure I am in your group." I melted!! The other Moms had been talking about how their kids kept asking why they had to go on the field trip with them, so I felt so special that Cody not only wanted me there but wanted to be in my group.
The field trip was at Canyon Glen park headed up Provo Canyon. It also happens to be the park where Chris proposed to me :) It was fun to go back and kind of relive that.

Puppy!
Cade is our little talker. Unfortunately he doesn't know very many words so it is straight jibberish.
He is starting to show a little personality, which cracks us up. He doesn't just let Cody take his toys anymore. He fake laughs when everyone else is laughing, and he will do something again if he thinks that it is the reason people are laughing. He likes to push the buttons on the tv when Cody is playing a game on it just to make him mad. He literally flies down the stairs and is obsessed with cars. He stands at the door to the garage most of the day begging to go play in the car.
He LOVES dogs. Every time he sees one he says, "Puppy! Puppy! Woo Woo." The woo is his version of a bark. So, when I was at Old Navy last week I had to get this Clifford shirt for him. He loves having a Puppy on his tummy.
He loves playing with little friends his age or being outside. He is a great sleeper, which surprised me since he struggled so much at night for the first year. He is still taking 2 naps a day most days, but if he only gets one nap it is usually 3+ hours.
I don't know what I am going to do during the winter though. Cody teases Cade a lot even though he doesn't try to and Cade's screaming might get the best of me. I don't know how to stop the screaming until he learns to talk. I guess I will just have to look at this picture A LOT to remind me how dang cute he is even when he is pushing my buttons.

Cody's first BSU FOOTBALL game
So.... we went up to Boise for a quick weekend trip to take Cody to his first BSU football game. My dad has 2 season tickets and he was able to get a couple from a friend who also had a parking pass right in the tailgating parking lot at the stadium. The game started at 12:30 and we got to the stadium at 11:15. My dad brought hot dogs, corn dogs, drinks, chips and stuff for smores and a really little grill. We were parked right next to big time tailgaters who offered us their grill... so we threw out hot dogs and corn dogs on and had lunch in no time. They also let the kids roast their marshmallows over their grill.
We waited in line to go into the Stadium and since our tickets weren't together we went in different entrances. Cody told us later that when he was going in it looked like he was going into jail.
Cody and My dad were sitting at the very top of this end zone so they were right by the tunnel when the Broncos ran out at the beginning of the game.
Just before half time I went to get waters since it was so hot, Cody and my Dad were already out of their seats for snow cones/ dippin dots so they came to hang out during half time.
They are in the middle right... you can see Cody's white/blue hat. He is sitting in my dad's lap.

A few minutes into the 4th quarter a few people by us left so Cody and my Dad came over by us, and then I took Cody over to sit by Chip and the girls for the last few minutes.
We had an amazing time! Cody has been telling all of his friends about how he got to go to the Bronco game.
Since we were parked in the stadium parking lot we figured we'd walk down and feed the ducks to try to buy time until we'd be able to get out of the parking lot.
I hope we are able to do this once every year. Even though he didn't actually watch any of the game and probably drove my dad nuts, I know he had a great time and won't forget it.
