busy, busy, busy
Where to start??
Early this week we got to go play with Steph and her girls again. I am so glad she is close to me now!!! I can't imagine not being able to see her girls.
Nap time with Kensington.

MORE Chuck E. Cheese!!! (we had extra tokens to use)

Friday night I ended up not working so we went to a late lunch with some friends, then to Chuck E Cheese for a little while to use extra tokens and then to the mall... just as we were getting ready to head home we stopped at Mrs. Powells for a sweet treat. After we finished the cinnamon roll, Cody wanted more so we gave him $4 and told him to go get another one. He did really well until he dropped all his money trying to handed it to the guy.

And what's a post now-a-days without a little Roaring Springs in it?? We went again today for a few hours. I love watching him figure things out. After our incident last time with Cody taking off and me not being able to find him, we are working on swimming. We got in the lazy river and I let him try to get on a tube by himself when he fell... he realized that he can't swim and that it isn't a good idea to go without Mommy. We are however, working on swimming now and there is a REALLY good chance I will be signing him up for swim lessons this summer.

Memorial Day
What a great weekend. Warm weather and friends. What more can you ask for. Chris left for Georgia Monday morning REALLY early so we spent Sunday afternoon at a park feeding ducks and talking. I couldn't believe how nice it was outside!

After Cody and I dropped Chris off at the airport Monday morning we came back home and slept for a couple more hours and then in the afternoon we headed to Roaring Springs again. HE LOVES THAT PLACE! This time however we went with some friends... Cody's friend Gavin (4) his sister Gabrielle (1) and their mom Alexis and then some of Alexis's friends and their two boys. The 3 little boys had a blast going down the kiddie slides together for the first 30 minutes or so and then we decided to go get in the lazy river with the kids and just float for a minute. On Saturday that was one of Cody's favorite parts of the whole day.

The 3 little boys had a blast going down the kiddie slides together for the first 30 minutes or so and then we decided to go get in the lazy river with the kids and just float for a minute. On Saturday that was one of Cody's favorite parts of the whole day. However, this time it didn't go as smoothly. Alexis had knee surgery a few weeks ago so I was trying to help her get into a tube while holding her one year old as Cody and Gavin sat on the steps to get into the lazy river. I had a panick moment and had to make sure Cody was where I could see him, when I saw that he was still sitting on the steps I continued to help Alexis get into her tueb. After she was in I grabbed a couple kiddie tubes for the boys and next thing I know... not even 1 minute later... Cody is GONE!!!! I mean NO WHERE IN SIGHT!!!! I panicked!!! but I also knew he hadn't gotten in the lazy river where I was at because he would have had to go right by me. I jumped out of the river and ran over to the kiddie pool area thinking maybe he had gotten tired of waiting and wanted to go down the slides.... nothing. By this point I had all lifeguards looking for 2 year old blond boy with white spiderman swim trunks. After about 2 minutes I was one of those crazy ladies you don't want to encounter. I was shaking and crying and running around like a mad woman. Then someone said, "HEY! is that him on the bridge?" I ran over there and sure enough my baby was walking across the bridge holding another woman's hand. At this point I began crying like a baby! After I could breathe and I hugged Cody really tight, the lady explained what happened. Apparently he had, just as I figured, gotten tired of waiting for me to get him a tube so he went and grabbed a little pink tube from the kiddie pool and headed to a different opening to the lazy river, since we had the whole entrance blocked trying to get so many people on tubes. The lady said he was asking her to help him get on his tube, she asked him if he was alone. He said yes. She asked how old he was he said 4!!!! (we are going to have to work on that). She told me that she has twins that are his size and figured if they can't swim yet he probably can't swim yet so she grabbed him and was taking him to find his Mommy. I am so grateful that she stopped him. Lets just say that I gave him extra long hugs and lots more kisses yesterday. I had a look into my future without my son, and that was just too much for me to handle. All I could think the whole time he was missing was how in the world and I going to tell his Daddy.
After I calmed down and Cody and I had a good long talk about not leaving Mommy when we are at the pool, we got on our tubes and had a relaxing float around the lazy river.
And after that...the boys wanted to go on this!!!
Technically, they aren't tall enough but no one checked so we trudged up to the top with our mats and the boys flew down!! I honestly figured we would get to the top and they would get scared and change their minds. I WAS SO WRONG!!! As I put their mats down on the water I asked the life guard if it would be safer for them to sit up versus laying down... before she could answer me... both boths were on their tummy's saying, "Ready...Set... GO!" we had to pull their mats back or they would have gone!!! I couldn't stop laughing!
