Our trip to Utah for Chris's grandma's 90th birthday celebration was so fun. Chris had been in Salt Lake for 9 days before Cody and I headed down there. We were supposed to fly out Wednesday at 4:30p.m. but that morning I started wondering if I needed a ticket for Cody. I couldn't remember if it was 2 and under or under 2 that flew for free. Sure enough, it was under 2... AHHH so it was going to cost me another $140 to fly Cody down on Southwest. My mom and my aunt arranged for us to fly on Delta buddy passes so it cost about $80 for both of us. The problem was, I needed to be on the 1:05 p.m. flight.... and it was 11 when my mom called me and I had JUST gotten out of the shower. Fortunately I had been packing and straightening up all morning, but when it came down to the crunch we couldn't find one of Cody's dress shoes and looked too long... we missed the flight. So we would have to wait and hopefully catch the 3 p.m. flight which was a long shot or catch the 5:30 flight with was a sure deal. We got the LAST 2 seats on the 3 o clock flight. phew.... cause this is what I did in the airport for 2 hours....and hide and seek

Cody's first plane ride where he actually knew what was going on was a blast! He kept opening and closing the window, and protecting his eyes from the sun.
He really enjoyed the peanuts and apple juice... I was ready to throw up by this point (ever since I got pregnant with him I struggle on airplanes.)
He wanted to ride the walking escalator but he refused to take a step once we were on it.

Chris picked us up from the airport and we went to dinner, met up with an old friend and her 5 kids and then headed down to Mona, Utah to hang out with these guys... Chris worked for their dad when we were living in Utah. They are practically family now. We stayed with them Wednesday and Thursday night. The boys had a BLAST and I REALLY enjoyed the free babysitters...

Friday afternoon we headed up to Salt Lake to meet back up with Chris and go to the hotel where the rest of the Henneman family was staying for the weekend. Chris's Aunt and Uncle hosted birthday party so we were all in the same hotel. Friday they had a dinner for us at the hotel and we watched old home movies.
Here is a good picture of Cody's eye the night he ran into a table.
Saturday morning the adults went to the temple and the kids and their parents went to the zoo. (this was when we took our family pictures)
That afternoon before the party Cody got to spend some time in the swimming pool with Kimball, Paul, Ron, Mick and Luke. He was in HEAVEN!

The party that evening was so glamorous. It was so fun to get all dressed up. I was nervous about Cody being good but he did okay as long as he was with either his Aunt Missy or his Papa Steveo and Grandma Lori. The only time he came to sit with us was when he wanted the rest of Chris's salad. (Chris is still in shock that HIS son eats SALAD! thats what happens when he is with me all day, he eats what I eat). He also thoroughly enjoyed the Martinelli's.
Sunday morning we had breakfast again downstairs and then headed to Grandma and Grandpa Henneman's sacrament meeting, then to their house to say good-bye.
