The many faces of my Caders
Just like Cody says some of the most hilarious things, Cade makes some of the most hilarious faces. These are just pictures that were taken during August.

Trafalga
Marissa had the great idea of taking the kids to Trafalga one day this week. I thought it would be fun to go after Cody's first day of school, so we met Scarlett and Marissa in the afternoon. I can't believe I didn't get one picture of Scarlett!! Cade and I went on the go carts together... Cody rode with another girl since he isn't tall enough to drive.
They had this little ride inside that Cody loved... Cade and Scarlett, not so much. Cade whined and bit the bar in front of him the whole time and Scarlett tried to crawl right out of her seat. Maybe next year :)
We rode the carousel once... Cade wasn't a huge fan unless I was sitting on the horse with him.
We will definitely be going back so Cody can play on the rock wall. He loves it!
Right before we left Cade found this game with a steering wheel and Cody thought he was actually playing during the demo that plays so they "played" that game for 15 minutes.
I am so glad Marissa had that idea. We have unlimited passes but I hadn't taken the boys yet. It is nice that Cade is finally old enough to enjoy some of it now.

We have had a lot of play time this Summer, and we love it. The boys are finally playing together a little bit and enjoying each other. Cody has always enjoyed Cade but it hasn't always been reciprocated.

Cody's first day of kindergarten
Tuesday was Cody's big day! I am so excited for him! We have been talking about him going to kindergarten since he started preschool :) I tried to make it a big deal for him, not like over the top but Monday we went shopping for all of his school supplies which were just pencils, crayons, glue, a pencil box and a backpack but he was excited. We had dinner with some people in our subdivision and then came home for a new school haircut and a fathers blessing before his big day. In the morning he had a nice big breakfast before heading to school.
He made his way into the classroom where he found his coat and backpack hook and then his name pin and then his cubby and then his desk. He headed over to play with a little boy and that is when I excused myself. :) After school he actually told me what they did at school and remembered a couple of the new kid's names. I am so proud of him for being so brave and confident! I can't wait to see the boy he grows up to be.

JDRF
On Saturday Cody and I woke up early (well early for me) and headed to Murray for the Juvenile Diabetes Walk. Cody's friend Branson has juvenile diabetes so it was fun for us to be able to go support their family. His dad works for discover card and his boss donated $30 for each person that registered for Branson. The walk was long and really hot so Cody started to get tired after a little while but it helped to have Branson and Jackson there for him to run with.
We hurried to Stacy's to kind of help with her sister-in laws baby shower and then came home to get stuff done at home.
Cade discovered Cody's pop gun, and won't put it down. It is so funny to watch him walk around the house "shooting" his gun.
Saturday night we got a babysitter and Chris and I spent some time together which was really nice after 2 weeks of not seeing each other. We went miniature golfing at Trafalga where we went once while we were dating. It was a lot of fun other that the mosquitoes (which only seemed to bother Chris) and the fact that all the lights were broken. I have the score card that I will scan and post later :)
Sunday was so nice. After church we took naps and then headed to Marissa and Micah's for dinner with Chris's family. It was nice to have a day of rest after so many crazy crazy days

Boise Trip Day 10 and 11
Wow, I didn't realize our trip was 11 days. I guess if you count the traveling days it was. Thursday was very low key. When I was leaving for Boise I told Chris that one way or another I was going to have lunch at The Mona Lisa one day. When I realized Tuesday night that I hadn't been yet, I knew what I was doing Thursday. We met my Aunt Tammy, Stacy(she was headed back to Utah right after lunch), Abby and my Mom there. My old boss made me my favorite dish that isn't on the menu. It's a pasta with artichoke hearts, onion, red peppers and a honey mustard sauce. It was amazing!
Before lunch however, Cody was outside playing cars with the neighbor boy. They had the exact same remote control car except Cody's was a police car. By 11 am they had a ramp built :)
After lunch my mom took the boys to the park for an hour and I went to my first facial! I loved it!
After the park we went back to the house so that I could start packing for our trip back Friday. Lori was headed down to Utah the next day too so we put on a movie for Cody and Cade took a nap while we packed.
Friday morning, we ran a few errands in the morning. We had to get Cade a new snuggly blanket since we lost his at the race track over the weekend and get some snacks for the drive. Then, we met my parents on the way out to grab some food and we were off.
They boys were angels again on the way back. Chris was so excited to see us, and we were just as excited to see him. Both boys were exhausted so they played for a little bit and then they both crashed. There was a lot of sleep that needed to be caught up on.
Overall, our trip was CRAZY!! We did so much in the 10 days that we were there, but I wouldn't have it any other way,
