Callie in January

A sweet Grandma of one of the young women in our Stake basketball program.  Callie was exhausted but was so content to snuggle with this lady and no one else.

Grandma Suvee's Visit

I had to have my gallbladder removed January 20th and my mom came down to stay with us for a few days while I recovered.  I am SO grateful she was able to come because it was a lot harder to recover from than I was anticipating.  I slept the entire first day home, then most of day 2 and then tried to get out of the house day 3 (bad idea), hung around the house day 4 and 5 and then she left us on day 6 which was  Saturday so Chris took care of things Saturday and Sunday.  Monday, I was on  my own.
.

after she left we all just hung out in Mom and Dad's bed

this was a "get well" card that I received from the hospital staff.  Apparently the belly button pressure was as bad (if not worse) than I remember.   They couldn't get the incision to stop bleeding for 20 minutes so she was holding gauze on it the whole time.  I remember moaning and asking her to stop a lot.

and this was my house on Monday.  Not a lot of bending over happened that day.

Cade was such a great helper when we were on our own.  He set Callie up with all her toys and then put a movie on for them to watch.

Callie aka Fuzzhead

I mentioned that Callie has earned the nickname Fuzzhead, this is why.  It keeps getting worse and I don't know what to do with it.  Especially now that it is growing over her ears.

Random Pictures

Daddy changing a stinky diaper.

Callie had a couple days where she slept A LOT! This was one of them.  Apparently, she was done playing and couldn't wait for me to put her back in bed. She just tipped over and fell asleep.

watching a movie with the boys

having an afternoon nibble

even though she can't even roll from her back to her tummy, she likes to stand up and hold onto her toys.

Cody was trying to put her on her hands and knees to teach her how to crawl,  she wasnt having it.

Cade thought it was so funny that she folded over and went to sleep.  So he joined her.

and this is one of my favorites.  She tries so hard to get to stuff but can't ever get her left leg out from underneath her.  She eventually just gives up
taking Cody to the dentist.  I asked him to hold her while I checked him in and I found them watching a movie in the little house.

Kangaroo Zoo with Scarlett

Before school started back up with picked Scarlett up one day and took her with us to meet Chris for lunch and then to Kangaroo Zoo while Marissa packed up their house for their move.
I only got a couple pictures while we were there but they kids had so much fun.  They just chase each other around for 2 hours.

Bath time with 3 kids

I let the boys get in the tub with Callie since she can sit up by herself now and they all had a blast.  Cody is so protective of his baby.  Callie tipped backwards when he was supposed to be supporting her and he cried harder than Callie did :)

New Years Eve Party

After we got home from Scarlett's birthday party we did a small New Years Eve celebration.  We have never done anything in the past but I thought it was a good time to start.  We had some sliders and sparklers from this Summer that we didn't get to use because of our fireworks ban so we broke those out of their hiding spot and had some fun.  Cade was very timid at first and hid behind the car while he watched Cody do sliders and then slowly worked his way over to join in on the action.

I was surprised at Cade's reaction to the sparklers.  Over the 4th of July I tried to get him to hold a really long one, where the fire was far away from him and he wouldn't touch it.  This night he was all over it! He even lit his own in the candle.

After the fireworks we came inside and had shirley temples and planned to watch the ball drop (on NYC time) but we couldn't find they channel showing it.  We did a little cheers with the small amount of shirley temple they each had left and then headed to bed.

I don't know why they each have their own mattress.  Cade insists on sleeping in Cody's bed every night.

The next night the kids asked to do more sparklers so I grabbed a couple more boxes and let them go for it.
