Island Park Trip: Idaho Falls Day

We broke up the drive to Island Park this year and spent the first night in Idaho Falls.  We got in around 4:00 and tried to put Callie down for a nap while the boys and I walked down to the falls by the temple.  We saw lots of fun benches along the way.

We haven't been swimming much this Summer but finally found a day to go.  Callie loved it and the boys were cold so they laid on the concrete and warmed up the whole time. :)

American Fork 5K

This Summer Cody ran in his very first 5K.  He kind of trained for it by doing a couple little runs and some longer roller blading "runs" but for the most part we just went for it.   Melissa ran it with us, Cody's goal was to beat Melissa and Melissa's goal was to not let Cody beat her.  

He ran all but about 20 seconds right about the 2nd mile marker and got emotional a couple times because it was hard but I was so proud of him for not giving up and pushing through it. 

this was during an emotional moment.  You can kind of see that his cheeks are full of air.  He was trying really hard not to cry.

 Cody beat Aunt Liss by a couple minutes.  He was pretty proud of himself, his time was 36:34
