You remind me of...

Today I taught 7th grade Social Studies. They are ALWAYS entertaining. Definitely my favorite age group.
One girls raised her hand during the quiz and said,
"miss, you look like Rosalie from Twilight."

I didn't know what to say. I didn't know if that was compliment or not. Rosalie is a bitter character and never smiles. hmmm....

So, needless to say that was a first for me.
I have been told I look like hillary duff and rachel mcAdams in mean girls but never like a vampire.

right now...

Cody is singing a song to himself while taking care of business...

It goes a little something like this.

"poop and potty, poop and potty, poop and potty.
I went poop and potty."

repeat until finished

Babies!

I am so excited, my best friend from high school is due May 16th with twin baby girls! I LOVE her and her family. Her brother Kevin was my brother's best friend. So it was the 4 of us ALL the time! I miss those days, A LOT!!!

Today was her baby shower.

Here are few cute pics from the day.

Suzi (Kevin's wife) and I. with Cody and baby Cody.

The Cody's just chillin'.

This last one is just kind of random, but cracks me up.

Stupid Cupid

First- I have to say I have never been so glad to see Valentines Day be over!!
I didn't think this weekend was EVER going to end!
I taught at the High School Thursday and then got called in to The Mona Lisa Thursday night. (beginning of the Valentines rush)
Friday I taught at the Middle School and then was at The Mona Lisa from 5-11 p.m. (we've completely booked for a month)
We were in Boise at 10:30 for a wedding Saturday, grabbed lunch and I was back to work at 4. til 11. (again booked solid for at least a month)
Sunday church from 11-2 made lunch and was back to work from 4:30 - 11.
Are you seeing a pattern?
Monday- work at the Mona from 11-2. caught a movie with my Valentine and now I am headed to the gym.

The best part? $400. :)

So, now on to the more serious stuff. I have a question. For anyone who may be reading this and knows more on the subject than I do...

Does anyone know if once you have had an ovarian cyst it is more likely for you to get them again?
I had one a few months ago and I am dying right now. They hurt so bad!
What happens when we decide to start trying for another baby?
Does the fact that I have had a few affect my chances of getting pregnant?! I am a little stressed out. and I need some help.
Google isn't getting me very far.

That's some funny stuff

I have found myself laughing multiple times a day recently at hilarious things Cody says. Mostly random, but funny!

Here are a few:

First, my favorite. About a week and a half ago Cody hurt his, well boy parts on something. I don't remember what. He started crying. I asked what happened and through the tears he exclaimed,
"I hurt my...I hurt my TOILET!!!!"
When I replied with, "You hurt your toilet?" (while trying not to laugh at the poor kid)
he said, "I hurt my potty!"
So now we have named his boy parts. His Potty.

Related to that... Monday night we all went down to the Y so Chris and Cody could swim and I worked out. When getting the two of them dressed, Chris decided not to put the poor guys undewear back on...???? So Code just had his one piece fleece jammies on. When we got home, he was playing with the zipper and came in to the family room to show me how he could zip his own jammies. a half second later her was screaming and shaking. HE HAD ZIPPED HIS POTTY!!!!
He is still talking about how he zipped his potty and that it hurts. Occasionally he will randomly pull his pants down to show us where he hurt his potty.

While Chris was out of town, Cody stayed with my in-laws while I was working one Friday night. Steve had asked if Cody eats fish. I told him to tell him it was chicken and I am sure he would.
When I got back that night Steve said that on the way to their house he asked Cody if he wanted to eat fish for dinner.
Cody said, "No! We don't eat fish. We eat dinner."
He wouldn't let it go either. He thought Steve was talking about eating his fish in his fish tank.
When I asked him if he had fish for dinner
he said, "no, we can't eat fish for dinner. We eat Salmon."

The other day when Cody and I were playing around, I was nibbling on his neck really fast. He pushed me away and said,
"We don't eat my neck, we eat food."

I love that Cody is such a polite little boy. If I don't feel good he kisses my head. He will give almost anyone a kiss anytime.

When I sneeze or cough, he is the first one to say, "bless you mom!" when I reply with Thank you he always says, "Welcome." and the other way around. If he sneezes, and I say Bless you, he says, "Thank you."

When he is in trouble and is sent to his room, he will drop anything he has and go straight to his room. He stays in there a couple minutes and then comes out on his own, saying "I'm sorry. We don't say No to mom and dad." (sometimes it varies, depending on what he was in trouble for)

A few months ago, Cody swore at Chris. He heard the word from Spiderman 3. We no longer watch that movie. Then, he told me to "Shut Up" on the way home from Utah in October. We only have to tell him once, maybe twice that we don't say bad words and he doesn't say them anymore.
However, if anyone says shut up or stupid or dangit or darnit or crap or freak he says,
"we don't say that, we say Gosh."

We didn't really like him saying Gosh either, but decided it was better than the alternative until recently he started saying, "Oh my Goodness" so now he walks around telling people,
"we don't say Gosh, we say Oh my goodness."

Those are just a few of our recents. I love my boy.

Weekend Getaway

okay I almost laughed out loud at that title, "weekend getaway?" no those are definitely not an option right now. However, Cody and I did escape to Chris's parents house in Meridian for a couple days. I guess it was just Saturday and Sunday night. They watched him for me while I worked Saturday night and then we both stayed the night there on Saturday. I got up and went to our church on Sunday and Cody went with Grandma. What a nice break!!!! I went back after church, Code and I took a nice 2 hour nap and then we played the rest of the night! Thanks for the fun couple of days papa steve-o and grandma lori.

Here is Cody watching cartoons in Uncle Mikey's bed.

and watching Book Of Mormon stories. asleep in Uncle Mikey's bed.

and this was the temperature of my house when we got home Monday morning. Nice.
