Putting up the Christmas Tree

First just a random cute picture of Cade and Henry (Hen-gee) last night.
Chris came home from work early so we could put the Christmas tree up together, which I am so grateful for because I don't know that I have the energy to have done it without him.  He will have to work late the rest of the week but I am so glad we have our tree up, and so are the boys.

Cade said Santa looked mad and was copying his "mad face"

the finished product.  limited ornaments this year since I know between my boys and all the neighborhood boys that run through my house they will be knocked off a lot.
And the next day when I made Cade lunch he asked if he could go sit on the couch and eat so he could watch his Christmas tree.   Definitely worth spending the time putting it up!

Idaho Trip: Thanksgiving Day

While were were at Henneman's the kids enjoyed lots of stories.  Steve always tell Cody a colored children story (not like black kids but like Randy Red and Bobby Blue) and this year Cade was able to get in on the story time action.

they also drew lots of pictures on the ipad

This may be my favorite picture from the week.  Great Grandma Scott reading a story to the boys.  They were both so into the story too.  It was precious

Thanksgiving afternoon we went to Uncle Ron and Aunt Ann's house for Thanksgiving dinner.  It was delicious and after the kids enjoyed a few horsie rides from Papa

this was Cade's mount.  He would jump from the chair onto Steve's back.

And this is just a random one of Cade zonked out on the way home.  This was barely past Boise.  he was sleepy.

Idaho Trip: Pojos

On Saturday after Thanksgiving we went to POJOs with Steve and Lori and Mike and Haley for a couple hours.  Cody loves the bumper cars and Cade loves the carousel so it is always a hit with my kids.

First thing we did was ride the carousel.  Cody likes to pose for me every time he goes around and Cade just likes to hold on  :)

The best game in my opinion was the Spider Stompin' game.  Cade was so energetic with his stomps and at the end he would throw his hands in the air and yell, "I WIN!"

Cody also loves the little kids basketball game... because he is super good at it.  I am always surprised when I watch him play.

Idaho Trip: Peaches the kitty

My Mom was supposed to get a couple new kitties from her sister but the mama cat took them away before my Mom could go get them and since my mom likes to have a couple cats at the house during the Winter for mice she took the boys to pick out a couple kitties at the Humane Society on Monday.  Cade picked out an orange cat and Cody named it Peaches and Cody picked out a black cat and named it snowflake.  There was one more black one named Sparky too.  Snowflake and Peaches were both name Cody had picked out for our next baby so this was my mom's attempt at getting him to use the names on something not human :)

Cader's cat was so precious.  She/He (not sure still if it was a boy or girl) was super chill and just laid on Cade's lap.  I don't think it had slept for about a week because it would  fall asleep anywhere within a few seconds.

He discovered that the cat would slide across the hardwood pretty easy so he started "driving" the cat around like a truck :)

Daddy "snuggling" with Peaches.  Cade put the cat there... haha

Both boys snuggling with their kittens.  Cody takes such good care of them.
Peaches fell asleep like this while Cade was watching his cartoons.  When Cade realized Peaches was asleep he wanted to snuggle him so he pulled him up by him.

Pure joy on that little boys face.

Idaho Trip: Grieners Farm

We drove up to Idaho for Thanksgiving but we went up early so we could spend a few days at my parents house before we went to Chris's parents house for the Holiday.  We left on Saturday before Thaksgiving early so we could try to make it to the BSU game.  My parents met us in Boise to get the kids and Chris and I made it to the game just in time for the second quarter.

Saturday night we had a relaxing night of pizza and hot tubing.

Sunday was also the Boise Temple Rededication so my dad didn't have any meetings and we were supposed to go to the 3:00 session so we had all morning to hang out.  We decided to load up and drive out to my Aunt and Uncles house to see the animals.  They have cows, pigs, dogs, cats and chickens (sometimes).  Cade was interested in the cows but only from a distance.  He ran around saying, "MOOO! MOO!" but wouldn't get close.

Then we moved on to the pigs where the kids threw rotting apples to them to eat.  yum.
Cody climbed a tree, cade played in the dirt and then Uncle Mike got home from church and started up the tractor.
Cade was obsessed.  He loved driving the bobcat.

After Cody had a turn, Cade jumped on again but while Uncle Mike was turning it on Cade hurried and grabbed the handles and started driving almost hitting Cody and Chris.  It was pretty funny!
