Cody's last day of Kindergarten

We came back from Idaho Wednesday night and Cody's last day of school was Thursday.  I kind of felt bad that he missed most of the last few days but he didn't seem to care.  He was there for the "hugging and crying day" as he kept reffering to it. 

I asked him to write Mrs. Reiber a nice Thank You note and with a little help in the spelling department this is what he came up with.  I am so proud of how far he has come this last year.  His handwriting is so good when he actually focuses and his reading has come leaps and bounds.

Idaho Trip

Chris came home from work on Thursday and asked if I wanted to go to Boise the next week because he had a meeting up there.  He was surprised when I said yes.   Since Monday was holiday and Chris's meeting in Boise was Wednesday we decided to leave Saturday after Cody's last soccer game and head up.  We got in late since his game was at noon but we were happy to be there.  We stayed at Steve and Lori's house which worked out well since our acura was there so Chris had a car to drive.

I jumped in the back when we were almost to Boise because the boys wanted me to sit with them. 

We laid low most of the time.  Sunday was spent with Henneman's and Monday was spent with Hayes's. 

Tuesday we had lunch with Missy and her girls.

These hoodies were hilarious.  My mom found them at the store for the boys to wear when they went fishing Monday morning with my Dad, Steve and Chris.  They got the truck stuck in the mud up to the axle.

On Wednesday Steve took Cody and Cade to work with him at the warehouse while I took Chris to his lunch appointment and then Callie and I ran some errands.  When we went to pick up the boys on our way out of town Steve had made them each little box cars that were sitting on little wheeled things that they were racing around the warehouse.  They had so much fun.  Maybe too much fun.  We were barely on the freeway when Cade fell asleep.

I was so glad we got to go up so a lot of our family could see Callie while she is still so little.  It was definitely a successful trip.

Cody's Spring Soccer Season

Cody has become quite the little soccer player.  It is so fun to watch him be so excited for each practice and each game and then to really put it all out there when he plays. 

Not that anyone was keeping score but their team was undefeated at the end of the season, something they were pretty proud of.

I decided to try to take some of my own pictures since I have a camera capable of taking professional looking pictures.  I asked Mike to give me a brief tutorial and then I gave it my best shot.

The first 4 pictures are the best and then after that its all extras that were cute or funny.
